What do you do for the site?
I crack the whip around here.  I mean I’m the webmaster doing all that fun behind the scenes stuff, graphics, blah, blah, and sometimes I write.
How did you first get into ska music?
I heard the “Someday I Suppose” by BossToneS on 99.1 HFS on the way home from school.  Don’t knock it; the horn line is catchy.
What are you all-time favorite ska-related albums?
This is a really modern list… Eastern Standard Time – Tempus Fugit, the Slackers – Redlight, the Aggrolites – self-titled, Deal’s Gone Bad – the Ramblers, Seespot – the Robbery.
What’s your favorite local venue?
My biased opinion likes BlueBeat DC.
What’s your favorite DC landmark?
The French toast served at the Pug’s brunch. Seriously, best French toast in DC and it should be monumentalized!
Baltimore or DC?
DC4life!.  I really tried loving Baltimore, but I didn’t have it in me.

What do you listen to?
Ska, reggae, rocksteady, soul, funk, rock n roll, punk rock, 80′s sitcom theme music.
What do you do for the site?
Write and right the wrongs.
How did you first get into ska music?
I started going to punk rock shows and saw a local ska band (Mobtown Beat).  I started buying and reading up on anything about the ska scene.  The first few albums I bought were Operation Ivy, The Specials, and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones.
What are you all-time favorite ska-related albums?
Skatalites – Ska Authentic, Rocker T – Nicer By the Hour, The Slackers – Redlight, Johnny Too Bad and the Strikeouts – Patchwork Girl, The Aggrolites –  Dirty Reggae, The Clash – London Calling,  The Adjusters  - Before the Revolution,  and The Specials – The Specials.

The Sidebar in Baltimore and the Black Cat in DC.

Got sucked into the “ska revival” of the ’90s by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, but ultimately got hooked on the Rude In DC shows which drove me to explore the music further.

Redlight by The Slackers, anything by the Pietasters, The Ramblers by Deal’s Gone Bad, and anything 2 Tone.

Hot n Rich Rocksteady Volume 1, Hepcat – Out of Time, Seespot – The Robbery, Ocean 11 – The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, The Slackers – Wasted Days… Most anything from the 60s on vinyl.
