Participate!

DCSka.com is just a hub for the scene, but what really makes the scene are the bands, promoters, and most importantly the folks who go to the shows.

Support the scene by continuing to go to shows and DJ nights and buying a band’s merch (especially from out-of-town bands on tour).  If you take photos or shoot videos, share them with the rest of the DC Ska community by posting them in the DC Ska YouTube/Flickr Groups and by tagging them “dcska”.  Visit DCSka.com whenever you get a chance and add your two cents on the message board.

If you’d like to actually contribute content to the site, we gladly welcome music/show reviews, interviews, news information, etc.  From time-to-time we look for artists to do flyer work for us and any shows we may put on.  Contact us if you’re interested in contributing.

Here are the details on our DC Ska YouTube and Flickr groups.

Flickr - Join the DC Ska Flickr Group.  Go here: http://www.flickr.com/groups/dcska. Make sure you’re logged in and then select the “Join this Group?” link.  You can also just upload your photos like normal and tag them with “dcska”.  If you ran out of space on your Flickr account, you can send your photos to us and we can put it on Michelle’s pro account with no problem.  Just drop us a line and we’ll get it worked out.

YouTube - Join the DC Ska Group.  Go here: http://www.youtube.com/group/dcska.  Make sure you’re logged in and then select the “Join This Group” link.  You can add videos to the group either from your stuff or stuff you find on YouTube.  Also, don’t forget to tag your videos with “dcska”.
